Nuggets of Wisdom (aka Venting)

Someone raised a question which in my completely relativist point of view I found quite interesting. How many genders are there nowadays? Male/Female of course; but what of transgendered individuals? Since we are a society that categorize without end, how do we stratify genders now? Aside from the physiological perspective, what gender is a male who considers him(her?)self a female or vice-versa ?

It would be my hope that our society would not define gender identities to be of such importance that one wouldn't have the freedom and opportunity to categorize herself --- What am I saying, of course we do see gender identity (as it appears with the whole gay marriage issue) as a fundamental characteristic of our societies and vital to its existence.

Nonsensical. Instead of fuming I'm taking the most sensible approach I've seen to date. Let's abolish marriage altogether. Anyways I'm going too far with this. Read up here, here, or here. For dissenting opinions just google, "gay marriage".

In other short notices, In meetings where everyone finally agrees on a topic we've been discussing for an hour and 17 minutes; please refrain yourself from going on a tirade explaining why you AGREE.

One last note, today I learned that when making executive decisions, it can be helpful to know people. By knowing people, I mean the gossip around people lives. Trust me, it could have helped me not appointing this guy and girl who hate each other to the same team because I was too cool to engage in gossip.
